I recommend getting starting at least 3-4 months before you would like to have your rings. That said, some couples go from initial email to finished rings in less than 1 month. It all depends on the type of rings you want to make and mutual availability. Some rings do require extra steps after your workshop which can take several weeks. Please note that weekend appointments are highly sought after and book out further than weekday workshops, especially in the spring and summer.
Design Your rings
A great place to begin is by giving some thought to the rings that you want to make, exchange, and wear for the rest of your lives (no pressure!) You can look around online or go to a traditional jewelry store to try some on. Below are some helpful pages on our website to get you thinking about your designs:
- Examples of rings made by real couples
- Types of workshops
- Choosing your band width
- Metal options
- Custom engraving
- Answers to common questions
If you have something in mind beyond a simple band I am more than happy to help you with the design. Collecting photos for inspiration is the best place to start, from there I can get an idea of what you would like to make and if your ideas are doable.
Schedule Your workshop
Now that you have an idea of the rings that you want to make let's start planning your ring making session! Get started below to talk about your design ideas and any questions that you might have. I will send along a link so that you can take a look at my upcoming availability and once you are ready you can schedule your workshop online. Once you are booked I will send along all of the info that I will need from you to prepare for your workshop.
