Many of the couples who visit Port Townsend for their fabrication or carving workshop choose to make a weekend (or longer!) out of the experience. There is so much to explore in Port Townsend and beyond. I feel incredibly grateful to call the Olympic Peninsula “home”.
Whether it is after your workshop or PT adventures, perhaps a trip to the spa is in order. Port Townsend has many spa offerings and below are four of WTR’s favorites.
Face of Grace
Face of Grace offers a variety of facials and treatments including microdermabrasion and glycolic peels tailored to your skin care needs.
Esthetician and owner, Julie Hoffman, will provide you with a personalized and rejuvenating treatment. Julie is also certified in manual lymphatic drainage and uses it during treatments on the face and neck. This process encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, reduce puffiness, and simply make you feel even more relaxed.
Face of Grace uses and carries organic and pharmaceutical grade brands and products like Eminence and Jane Iredale.
Soak on the Sound
Make date night into spa night at Soak on the Sound.
Soak offers private saltwater soaking tubs (reservations are recommended) and a community tub on a first come, first serve basis. Saltwater soaking has many health benefits including muscle relaxation, reducing pain & soreness, and hydrating the skin. In addition to the tubs, Soak also provides steam sauna and massage services.
I recommend Soak’s “Sweetheart Special” which includes a private tub for two, a post-soak serum, and two beverages - enjoy a local cider, craft beer, or a soft drink during your soak!
Glow
Indulge in a custom garden glow facial or a salt glow body exfoliation at Glow.
Glow offers skincare, body exfoliation, and more for men and women. Glow prides itself on using natural skincare products and using local products whenever possible and recently launched their own line of products suitable for all skin types.
Glow is located in downtown Port Townsend, next door to Soak on the Sound.
Izadora's
If you’re in the mood for a manicure or pedicure, head to Izadora’s - located in the historic Bishop Hotel. Nail Artist and Owner, Shawna Brunner, is amazing at what she does. She is meticulous in providing a relaxing experience and high-quality service.
Izadora’s also offers tanning & hair services, waxing, and wedding hair & makeup. Izadora’s (and Shawna in particular) is popular in PT, so I would recommend booking an appointment in advance.
