Race to Alaska

Race to Alaska is an all man-powered, no motor, 750 mile trek from Port Townsend to Ketchikan, Alaska. It’s crazy! And yet, in its 4th year there are 35 teams of adventurous folks hoping to win the grand prize of $10,000 -  but even better the badge of honor of completing the wild journey.

The day before the race, Wednesday, June 13th, head over to Pope Marine Park & the Northwest Maritime Center for the Pre-Race Ruckus from 12pm - 8pm. Listen to live music from local group Uncle Funk & the Dope 6, drink a beer &  grab a snack, and check out some of the boats that will be embarking on the journey of a lifetime.

Wish the teams good luck, they’ll head out 5:00am on June 14th. Watch the race in real time on Seventy48.com.
